Our favorite neighborhood restaurant...
Pomelo is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. It is located at Church and 30th Street in Noe Valley. The cuisine is described as Eclectic/International. The influences that I can discern are Indian, Asian, and Cuban.
Pomelo is a small restaurant with limited seating, but it is very cosy. If you look close, Pomelo has the same light fixture that I bought for our dining room. Although, I had seen this fixture before going to Pomelo, it was nice seeing it in situ.
As an appetizer, we started with "nagaski" as seen to the left. It is described on the menu as "panko crusted chicken breast tenders and vegetables with a soy lime dipping sauce and wasabi honey mustard."For our main entres, John got "san marino" which is "wild mushroom risotto with spinach and green peas topped with panko encrusted chicken breast and a tomato-curry vinaigrette", and I got "koh samui" which is "spicy coconut curry with chicken, oriental long beans, straw mushrooms and fresh cilantro, served with jasmine rice."
YUMMY!!!!!
